Wallet and Balance — Core Concepts
The FPT Cloud wallet stores your balance for paying for prepaid resources.
How it works
- You top up the wallet first, then use that balance to create and maintain resources.
- The system deducts automatically on an hourly basis (Instance, Storage Disk) or monthly (Floating IP).
- No debt: if the balance is insufficient, the system does not allow new resources to be created.
Balance types
| Metric | Meaning |
|---|---|
| My Balance | Total wallet balance (= Available Balance + On Hold Balance) |
| Available Balance | Amount available for immediate use |
| On Hold Balance | Funds temporarily held for running resources |
Top-up
Add funds via Billing → Top-up using VNPay. Purchased credit is non-refundable.
Gift Code
If you have a gift code, enter it on the Top-up page under Redeem gift code. The value is credited immediately to your Available Balance.
