Guide: Manage Budget Alerts
This guide describes how to create and manage budget alerts (Budget Alert) to monitor and control spending on FPT Cloud.
View the Budget Alert List

From the left navigation bar, select Billing → Budget Alert.
The budget alert list page is displayed.

The list table includes the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Budget alert name | The identifying name of the budget alert. |
| Status | Status: Active (currently active) or Inactive (paused). |
| Budget amount (VND) | The configured budget limit (VND). |
| Actual (vs. Budgeted) | Actual spending compared to the configured budget, displayed as a progress bar. |
Create a New Budget Alert
Creating a Budget Alert involves two steps.
Step 1 — Budget Information

On the Budget Alert page, click Create budget alert.
The budget alert creation page is displayed.

Fill in the information under Budget information:

| Budget name | Yes | The identifying name of the budget alert. |
| Budget period | Yes | The budget calculation cycle (e.g., Monthly). |
| Start date | Yes | The date from which the budget takes effect. |
| Budget amount | Yes | The maximum budget limit (VND). |
- Select the Budget scope:
| Option | Description |
|---|---|
| All services | Apply the alert to all services within the tenant. |
| Filter specific resources | Apply only to selected services or resources. |
- Click Next to proceed to step 2.
Step 2 — Alert Thresholds
- Under Alert thresholds, set the percentage of the budget that will trigger an alert (e.g., 80%, 100%).
- Enter the email address to receive notifications when spending reaches the threshold.
- Click Create to complete.
Edit and Delete a Budget Alert
- Edit: Click the alert name in the list → update the information → Save.
- Delete: Select Delete from the action menu → confirm.
