Custom Images — Overview
Custom Images lets you use your own custom operating system images instead of the standard images available on FPT Cloud. This feature is suitable when you need to deploy a specific operating system, an image with pre-installed internal software, or an ISO to install an OS from scratch.
Two Types of Custom Image

| General Image | OVA, OVF | A complete OS image, ready to create an Instance from immediately. |
| ISO Image | ISO | A bootable installation file, used when you need to install an OS from scratch through a manual process. |
Availability
Custom Images work on both VPC types:

Note: Each VPC has its own separate Custom Image list. An image uploaded in one VPC cannot be used in another VPC — even within the same tenant.
What You Can Do
- Upload a General Image (OVA/OVF) and use it as the source when creating a new Instance.
- Assign tags to a General Image for easy categorization and search.
- Upload an ISO Image for use during operating system installation.
- Delete an image when it is no longer needed to free up resources.
