Guide: Managing Permission Templates
This guide describes how to view and create permission templates (Permission Templates) in IAM.
Permission Templates are collections of permissions saved as a reusable template for use when creating roles, saving configuration time when multiple roles share similar permissions.
Viewing the Permission Templates List

From the left navigation bar, select IAM → Permission Templates.
The permission templates list page appears.

The table includes the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Permission template name | The identifying name of the permission template. |
| Type | The template type: System (provided by the system) or Custom (created by users). |
| Description | A description of the template's permissions. |
| Status | The status: Active or Inactive. |
| Last updated at | When the template was last updated. |
Creating a Custom Permission Template

On the Permission Templates page, click Create template.
The template creation page appears.

Fill in the fields:

|---|---|---|
| Permission template name | Yes | The identifying name of the permission template. |
| Description | No | A description of this template's purpose. |
| Search permission | — | Search for and select the specific permissions to include in the template. |
- Click Save to create the template.
System Templates
System templates (Type: System) are provided by FPT Cloud and cannot be edited or deleted. You can view their details to review the list of permissions they contain.
Editing and Deleting Custom Templates
- Edit: Click the template name → update the information → Save.
- Delete: Click the delete icon or select Delete from the action menu → confirm.
