Guide: Managing User Groups
This guide describes how to view, create, and delete user groups (User Groups) in IAM.
Important: The members of a group are selected at creation time and cannot be changed afterwards. If you need to adjust membership, create a new group with the appropriate member list.
Viewing the User Groups List

From the left navigation bar, select IAM → User Groups.
The user groups list page appears.

The table includes the following columns:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The identifying name of the group. |
| Description | A description of the group's purpose. |
| Roles | The roles assigned to this group. |
| No. Users | The number of members in the group. |
| Status | The group status: Active or Inactive. |
| Created At | When the group was created. |
Creating a New User Group

On the User Groups page, click Create user group.
The group creation page appears.

Fill in the fields:
| Field | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Name | Yes | The identifying name of the group. |
| Description | No | A short description of the group's purpose. |
| Roles | No | Select one or more roles to assign to all members of the group. |
| Users | No | Select the users who will belong to this group. The member list is fixed after creation. |
- Click Save (or Create) to finish.
Note: After creation, you cannot add or remove members from the group. Verify the user list carefully before saving.
Deleting a User Group
- In the User Groups list, locate the group to delete.
- Click the delete icon or select Delete from the action menu.
- Confirm the action in the confirmation dialog.
Warning: Deleting a group immediately revokes all permissions granted through that group for all of its members.
