Troubleshooting: IAM
The IP Access or Policies menu does not appear in the navigation bar
Cause: The feature has not been enabled for your organization. Both IP Access and Policies require an FPT Cloud System Admin to enable them separately for each organization.
Solution: Contact the FPT Cloud support team and provide your organization (tenant) name to have the feature enabled.
Cannot add members to a User Group after it has been created
Cause: By system design, the User Group member list is configured at creation time only and cannot be changed afterwards.
Solution: Create a new User Group that includes the user(s) you need to add. Reassign the necessary roles and permissions to the new group.
An invited user did not receive the confirmation email
Cause: The email may have been filtered into the spam folder, or the email address entered was incorrect.
Solution:
- Ask the user to check their spam/junk folder.
- Verify that the email address in the Users list is correct.
- Delete the account and re-invite with the correct email address if it was wrong.
Cannot delete the ORG Super Admin or VPC Super Admin role
Cause: These are system roles — they cannot be edited or deleted.
Solution: Create a custom role (Custom Role) with the permission set that suits your needs.
Cannot log in to the console after IP Access was enabled
Cause: Your current IP address is not on the whitelist.
Solution: Contact your organization administrator to add your IP address to the IP Access list, or contact the FPT Cloud team if no one with access is available.
A policy has no effect on a user
Cause: Policies apply to User Groups, not directly to individual users. The user must belong to the group specified in the policy's Apply to field.
Solution: Confirm that the user belongs to the correct User Group assigned in the policy. If not, create a new User Group with the appropriate members and assign the policy to that group.
