Create a tag

Create a tag in the catalog to start classifying resources by project, environment, or owning team.

Before you begin​

Role: a user with permission to create Tags.

Steps​

  1. Go to Tagging → Tags tab.
  2. Click + Create Tag.
  3. Enter a Key and a Value.
  4. Choose a Color.
  5. Click Create.

The new tag appears in the list.

Notes​

  • Key is required.
  • Tags are stored at the organization level — they can be assigned to any resource.
  • There is no limit on the number of tags in the catalog.
