Robot account

A Robot Account is a service account used for automated authentication in CI/CD pipelines or integrated systems. Instead of reusing a personal login, a Robot Account provides independent credentials with strictly controlled, pull/push-only permissions.

Overview

  • Credentials: creating a Robot Account generates a Username and Token, shown only once, used in place of a personal account to docker login.
  • Permissions: a Robot Account is scoped to pull and/or push access on specific Repositories, not full Portal access.
  • Lifecycle: a Robot Account can be disabled to suspend access without deleting it, re-enabled, or have its secret refreshed without recreating the account. See Manage robot accounts before you delete one.
