Initial setup
If this is your first time using Managed - FPT Kubernetes Engine, complete these 3 tasks before you create a cluster.
Create an FPT Cloud account and log in to FPT Portal
Visit https://fptcloud.com/ and select Sign Up to register for an FPT Cloud account. Enter the required information — the support team contacts you shortly to confirm your details and create the account.
To log in, go to https://console.fptcloud.com/ with your assigned account and password, then select the correct Tenant, Region, and VPC.
Unsure about your Tenant, Region, or VPC, or getting a login error after 3 attempts? Contact Support immediately.
Create a Subnet with Static Pool
A Kubernetes Cluster only works with Subnets that have the Static Pool option enabled.
-
In Network, select the Subnets tab.

-
Select Create Subnet on the Subnets Management page.

-
Enter the Subnet details:
- Name: a memorable name for the Subnet.
- CIDR: a valid CIDR block.
- Check Advanced settings.
- Static IP Pool: a valid IP range derived from the CIDR.
-
Select Save. The system creates the Subnet and notifies you of the result.

Request FKE activation and resource quota
If this is your first time using FPT Cloud, some services may not be enabled on your account yet. Contact Support with the configuration details you need (RAM, CPU, Storage, Public IP, and so on) so the team can allocate the resources for Managed - FPT Kubernetes Engine.
