Delete Lakehouse

Use this when a Lakehouse is in Completed or Running status and you no longer need it.

warning

Deletion cannot be undone. The customer's S3 bucket and data will not be deleted — only the Lakehouse's platform resources are reclaimed.

Steps​

Step 1. In the menu bar, select Data Platform > select Lakehouse > select the Lakehouse you want to delete

Step 2. On the Lakehouse detail screen, click Delete

Step 3. The confirmation dialog "Delete this Lakehouse?" appears with the following information:

  • This action will permanently delete all platform resources provisioned for the Lakehouse
  • The customer's S3 bucket and data will not be deleted
  • This action cannot be undone
  • The deletion process may take some time; you can leave the page and return to check later

Click Delete to confirm, or Keep Lakehouse to cancel.

You are not required to re-type the Lakehouse name to confirm — simply click Delete in the dialog.

Result​

The Lakehouse transitions to Deleting while resources are being reclaimed. Once complete, the Lakehouse no longer appears in the Lakehouse listing.

If the deletion process encounters an error, the Lakehouse remains in Deleting status with a message indicating the Ops team has been notified — no further action is required from you.
