Database cluster provisioning and operation5

Before using FPT MongoDB Enterprise on the FPT Console Portal, users need to complete the initial setup, including account registration, access permission configuration, subnet setup, and activation of the FPT Database Engine service. The Database provisioning and operation feature enables users to create, configure, operate, and delete database clusters in a FPT Database Engine environment. Operations in this group apply at the database resource level and require appropriate IAM permissions. Prerequisites: - FPT Database Engine service and FPT MongoDB Enterprise service must be activated within the VPC. - The user must be assigned a role with database management permissions. Required permissions include `manageDatabase:List` (view), `manageDatabase:Create` (create), `manageDatabase:View` (view details), `manageDatabase:Management` (start/stop/restart), `FDE:hide_admin_pw` (block admin password viewing), and `manageDatabase:Delete` (delete clusters). To manage and operate database clusters, refer to the sub-sections below.

View database cluster listThe Database cluster list page provides a consolidated view of all database instances/clusters running in the FPT Database Engine environment, enabling users to easily monitor status, review configuration, and perform common management operations on each database cluster.Provision a database clusterThe Database cluster provisioning function enables rapid deployment FPT MongoDB Enterprise clusters on the FPT Database Engine platform without manual infrastructure setup. Provisioning a database cluster involves entering configuration details for the engine type, network, cluster identity, and optional services like backups and auto-scaling. This guide outlines the multi-step process.View database cluster informationThe View Database Cluster Details feature allows users to:Operate a database clusterThe database cluster operations guide explains how to manage FPT MongoDB Enterprise clusters on FPT Cloud Portal. You can perform restart, and delete actions according to cluster lifecycle states.Upgrade patch versionThe Patch Version Upgrade feature allows users to upgrade their FPT MongoDB Enterprise database cluster from the current patch version to a higher version from the list. Upgrading helps you take advantage of performance, security, and feature improvements in the higher patch version. Currently, this feature does not support downgrading and is only available if your database cluster is not the latest patch version offered.
