Manage database tags

Tags label a MongoDB cluster so you can group, filter, and account for it alongside the rest of your cloud estate. You assign them from the cluster list, and tagging behaves the same here as on every other engine FPT Database Engine manages.

What this means for your MongoDB clusters:

  • Tagging is a cluster-level operation. Whatever you assign or remove applies to the cluster and every node inside it, in one action.
  • Individual nodes cannot be tagged on their own. Node tags always follow the cluster.
  • Assigning and removing use the same dialog, and both take effect as soon as the change succeeds.

Only tags that already exist in the Tagging service appear in the selection field, and there is no way to create one inline. If the tag you want is missing, create it in the Tagging service first.
