Prerequisites
FPT Database Engine builds on resources that already exist in your tenant, so a few things have to be in place before you can create a database. Work through the list below, and follow the linked guide for anything you are missing.
What you need
- A signed service agreement, with a Project or Tenant, a VPC, and a Network provisioned for you.
- An active FPT Console Portal account.
- Role-based access permissions (RBAC) for FPT Database Engine.
- A Subnet in the VPC for the database to sit in.
If something is missing

| Project, Tenant, or VPC | Contact the FPT Smart Cloud sales team to sign a service agreement. Contact details are on the FPT Smart Cloud contact page. |
| An FPT Console Portal account | Register one at https://fptcloud.com/, then verify the email you receive to activate it. |
| Access permissions | Ask your system administrator to grant them, or set them up yourself following Configure IAM. |
| A Subnet for the database | Create one following Subnet management. |
