FAQ and common errors

This page answers common questions about the Custom package and lists the error messages you might see, with how to fix each one.

Why can't I choose a lower tier?	The tier list runs from the suggested tier up to T4. To get a lower tier, reduce the Retention, Ingested, or Time series of a datasource so the system suggests a lower tier again. This applies to the create flow only.
Why does Endpoint = 3 fail?	Endpoint monitoring and Reporting template accept only multiples of 5 (for example 0, 5, 10, 15). Entering 3 is blocked at the Next step.
Metric is off but Endpoint still has a value?	This does not happen. When you turn off Metric, Endpoint resets to 0 with a warning, because Endpoint monitoring depends on Metric.
Can I enter a decimal (2.5)?	No. All quotas are integers, and decimals are blocked when you click Next.
Why can't I lower a quota in the upgrade flow?	By design, you cannot downgrade. The minimum quota equals the current value, and the minimum tier equals the current tier.
Is Reporting template = 0 valid?	Yes. 0 is a valid value and Next works normally. The field only cannot be empty.
