Request a Dual-Stack VPC from FPT Cloud
In Phase 1, creating a VPC with dual-stack (IPv4 + IPv6) is done by FPT Cloud — you don't act on the Admin Portal. This guide helps you prepare the right information and reach the correct channel to get your dual-stack VPC as fast as possible.
When to contact FPT Cloud
| Situation | Action |
|---|---|
| You want to convert an existing (IPv4-only) VPC to dual-stack | Contact FPT Cloud for support |
| You want to create a new VPC with dual-stack | Contact FPT Cloud for support |
warning
Phase 1 does not yet support self-service creation of a dual-stack VPC on the Console or Admin Portal.
Information to prepare
When contacting FPT Cloud, provide:
- Organization / tenant name in use
- Current VPC name (if converting a VPC you already use to dual-stack)
- Availability Zone (AZ) to configure
- Intended IPv6 use (so the support team picks a suitable External Network pool)
Contact channels
- Hotline: call your organization's FPT Cloud support number
- Support email: per your service contract
- System ticket: open a ticket via the FPT Cloud support portal with the subject "Request to enable IPv6 Dual-Stack for a VPC"
Result after FPT Cloud configures it
Once FPT Cloud finishes, your VPC will:
- Have
stackMode = dual(shown in the VPC list on the Console Portal) - Be attached to an IPv6 Parent Pool (/64) — from which you can create dual-stack Subnets
note
From this point you continue on your own on the Console Portal without further support.
Next steps
- Create a Dual-Stack Subnet — once you have a dual-stack VPC
