# 2. Create firewall rules

**Step 1:** Go to a **Security Group.** In **Inbound rules** section, select **Add new.**

**Step 2:** Users configure following fields of information:

* **Port:** The number of service ports needed to be set. The current system has listed the most popular ports to serve the needs of users.
* **IP Address:** The IP address needed to access.
* **Description:** Description of this rule.

**Step 3:** Select **Save**.&#x20;

The system will validate this rule. Users will also be notified if new firewall rules are created. Newly created rules will be displayed as below.
