Custom package overview
The Custom package lets you configure each monitoring resource quota yourself instead of using the fixed P0–P4 packages. This gives you precise control over cost and capacity — you pay for exactly the Dashboards, Users, datasources, and Retention you need.
This topic covers two flows.
- Create. Use this when you create a brand-new Workspace and choose the Custom configuration from the start.
- Upgrade or change package. Use this when a Workspace already exists and you want to change its quotas in the Quota and package tab.
What is the Custom package?
The configuration screen (Step 2 – Plan) of the Custom package has these groups.
- Basic quotas: Dashboard, User, Alert rule.
- Monitoring datasources: Metric, Log, Trace. You turn each datasource on or off with a toggle, and each has its own parameters (Retention, Time series / Ingested).
- Endpoint monitoring and Reporting template: additional quotas, entered in multiples of 5.
- System performance tier (T0–T4): the system performance level, auto-suggested based on your datasource configuration.

Key constraints
- At least one datasource must stay enabled. If you turn off Metric, Log, and Trace together, the system shows
At least one of Metric, Log, or Trace must remain enabled. - Metric ↔ Endpoint dependency. If you turn off Metric while Endpoint monitoring is greater than 0, Endpoint monitoring resets to 0 with a warning.
