# 6. Delete snapshot

* This only applies to instances that have successfully created snapshots. Please check if the necessary instance has a snapshot.
* This action is irreversible.

**Step 1:** On **Instance Management** page, in **Actions** section, select **Snapshot** > **Delete snapshot**. A new dialog box will appear.

**Step 2:** Select **Remove.**

If users confirm to delete, the system will process and return the occupied snapshot resource to the VPC. Users will be notified when the process is complete.
