# 9. Manage instance storage

**Step 1:** Go to **Instance details** page by selecting the corresponding instance name on the **Instance Management** page.

**Step 2:** To check the current storage of a instance, select **View storage** in the data table.

In **Instance storage** page, users will be able to check the details of storage types:

* **Local:** Stored storage (appears when users declare at the initialization of the instance). By default, there will be 1 local storage that cannot be deleted.
* **Storage Disk** (if any)**:** Types of external storage disk drives. Each storage disk can be shared with one or more instances. To set up a more detailed storage disk, select the corresponding storage disk name to be directed to the disk management page.
