Step 1: On Instance Management page, in Actions section, select Resize VM. A new dialog box will appear.
Step 2:
To avoid turning off the virtual machine when resize in the future, turn on Hot-add. The default system will instruct users to activate after creating the virtual machine.
To change the instance type, users need to choose a new model with a different configuration than the current configuration. Each model will have different CPU and RAM configurations depending on the needs.
Next, select Resize.
The system will process to resize after checking the allowed VPC resources. The instance will be temporarily turned off and restart itself after the process is complete. In case Hot-add has been activated, the virtual machine will not need to be turned off and can still work normally with the new configuration.
