# 3. Detach storage disk from instance

**Step 1:** On **Storage Disk Management** page, in **Actions** section of selected disk, select **Detach.**

**Step 2:** A new dialog box will appear**.** Select **Detach.**

The system will confirm and display a message about the process. Information about the operation status of storage disk will be updated.
