# 1. Connect a Floating IP to instance

**Step 1:** On **Networking** menu, select **Floating IPs**. Users will be redirected to the **Floating IP** management page.

**Step 2:** On **Instance Management** page, in **Actions** section of one empty floating IP (not assigned to any instance) > **Connect to instance.**

**Step 3:** A new dialog box will appear. Select the appropriate instance > Select **Save.**

Users will be notified when the floating IP configuration process is complete.
