5. Change permissions in object

By default, a newly uploaded object files will have Private permission. To change the current permission of the object, the user needs to perform as below.

Note:

• If the permission is Private, users must login to be able to view and download the object.

• If the permission is Public, the object can be viewed and downloaded when accessed via address with [S3 endpoint]/[bucket name]/(file name) or (folder/file name) structure.

Step 1: On Bucket details page, in the Actions section of the corresponding object, select Edit permission. A new dialog box will appear.

Step 2: Change permission to Public or Private > Select Update to confirm the new permission.
